ACL is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of automotive, commercial and marine lead-acid batteries, as well as the provision of a comprehensive range of related products and services. The Power Master brand is ACL’s flagship brand of batteries. It is backed by excellent after-sales service from over 30 Warranty Centres strategically located throughout Trinidad & Tobago.

The Company also produces BANDAG retreaded tyres and is a distributor GOODYEAR and Pirelli tyres, KENDALL lubricants, HUNTER alignment equipment, RAVAGLIOLI auto-service garage equipment and SAFE CNG refueling equipment. Additionally, ACL has successfully entered the natural gas market, installing the AUTOGAS Natural Gas System for vehicles. Suppliers include Landi Renzo and FABER for CNG Cylinders from Italy.

The company’s product quality is well known throughout CARICOM, as well as the Spanish and French speaking Caribbean, with the Dominican Republic as its single largest market. In the Caribbean region, ACL is the largest producer of automotive batteries, supplying over sixty percent of this market. The Company possesses a network of over thirty distributors in sixteen Caribbean countries.

All of the Company’s exports are marketed by reputable organizations, with the focus on supplying quality products and fostering long term relationships. In recognition of the company’s many achievements, the United Nations Development Organization (UNIDO) awarded the Most Innovative Company-Large Enterprise within Trinidad & Tobago to Automotive Components Limited for 1995.

In December 1994, Automotive Components became registered under the ISO 9002 and subsequently upgraded in 2003 to the ISO 9001-2000 quality standard. The Company continues to develop new markets and integrate existing ones into their total quality approach, and actively seeks new joint venture arrangements with companies of substance that are market driven and future focused.
